Osprey Exos 48 Liter

The Osprey Exos 48L backpack is the best backpack that I've ever used.  Osprey has put a great deal of design into the Exos 48L backpack, to maximize the use of the space.

The Osprey Exos 48L backpack is lightweight, extremely comfortable, and is highly adjustable to make the Exos 48L fit your body as well as possible.

**Make sure you purchase the correct size Exos 48L for your torso measurements.

Osprey's sizing chart for this pack:

JanSport Katahdin 40L Backpack

The JanSport Katahdin 40L backpack was my first lightweight backpack.  Being a JanSport backpack, the Katahdin 40L pack is definitely well-made, and should hold up for a great many years of hiking.

The Katahdin 40L backpack has some nice features, and is very cost-effective, at less than $100.

I loved the Katahdin 40L backpack for its features and quality construction, but it was too short for my torso.  So the Katahdin 40L might not be the choice for taller hikers.
